Heat’s LeBron James graces the June 3 cover of Sports Illustrated

This is LeBron James’ 19th SI cover.

LeBron James appears on the cover of this week’s Sports Illustrated with his Miami Heat tied 2-2 with the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals. The regular-season MVP has displayed a stunning array of skills against the resolute Pacers, and the cover story explores how James does it all, position by position, with pieces from SI‘s Lee Jenkins, Chris Ballard and Ian Thomsen and commentary from Warriors coach and former All-Star point guard Mark Jackson and Hall of Fame center Bill Walton.

This is James’ 19th Sports Illustrated cover. He first appeared on the cover as a high school junior at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio, under the headline “The Chosen One.” He last appeared on the cover as SI‘s 2012 Sportsman of the Year.
